S.S. Jain Subodh Shiksha Samiti plays a  major role in Rajasthan. The institution started in Jaipur in 1918, just with a registration of two girls. In 1925 a primary school was setup for the education of boys. There after a middle school in 1934, high school in1944, inter college in 1954, degree college in 1960,  post graduate college in1993 and women's college in 1999 was established. In between this in 1963 high school was upgraded to higher secondary and 1988 it was further upgraded to senior secondary school. In this period of development Subodh evening College in 1975, Subodh public school in1985, Subodh Play School in 1995 and Subodh management institute in 1997 was also started.

On the occasion of diamond jubilee function of Subodh educational institute on dec.1995 the former president of India Dr.Shankar Dayal Sharma recommended to add up with a women's college to the long chain of subodh institutions .On this occasion  the president of the institution Shri Navratna Kothari announced that if the state Govt. can make available land for women's college with in a month then the institution would complete the architectural work of the same with in a year. Even after a long time and efforts, land was not allotted. Then in 1999 Subodh Shiksha Samiti took a decision and women's college was started at Rambagh Circle in Subodh College campus in a separate block. In year 2002, 40,000 Sq.Mt.land was allotted by the state govt. at budhsinghpura, near airport.

A new building was constructed  which was inaugurated by the former C. M.of the state Mr. Ashok Gehlot on 7th oct.2002 in the same premises Subodh Girls College having an additive advantage of hostel, also came into force. Recently on 31st Aug. 2005 a “Women’s College” named “S.S.Jain Subodh T.T. Women College” was started with hostel facility which is an incredible effort of the institution towards women’s education.

With the aim of upliftment of women’s education in Rajasthan. There is a need of opening more women’s college with the same objective. ”S.S. Jain Subodh T.T. women’s College” has been started for continuing the efforts. It is wished that in the forthcoming years this educational institution will attain heights in the field of educational research and technology at national and international level.

College Liberary
 The library at Subodh is a treasure trove of knowledge, which houses a vast and comprehensive collection of books in all the respective and relevant subjects and made available as and when required by the student community and lecturers on all the working days.

College library contains 60373 books of text, reference and general books, it subscribes 17 news papers of both Hindi and English Language, 55 international and national journals or periodicals and 26 magazines. Library also has a separate well stacked and furnished reading room with a sitting capacity of about 250 students, where they can pursue knowledge through the journals, magazines, books and references. It also provides the facility of Book Bank through which the meritorious as well as financially weak students can get text books for the entire academic session.
